The first day was quite an experience but after that it has only been better. the first day after you guys dropped me off i got all my stuff and went to class and was greeted by Sister Allen who is our teacher, she only speaks korean and its been an adventure trying to understand what she is saying, but we have improved our korean skills and charade skills very much since last wednesday.
We live here in the MTC and i have three other roommates who are Elder Newell, Elder Schwarzee, and Elder Itri. Elder Newell is my Companion and is a great guy. our whole district is awesome and i love everyone in it. there are a total of nine people with two sisters and seven elders. everyday is an adventure and we pretty much spend all of our time in our classroom so we have gotten to know each other pretty well. the food here is pretty good, i mean it isn't lawry's by any means but it tastes fine and has a good variety so i have nothing bad to say about it. my first sunday at the MTC was unforgettable. we had sacrament meeting and priesthood meeting which were very good even tough i had absolutely no idea what anyone was saying until president snow who is one of the members of our branch presidency got up and gave his talk in english. there was also a devotional where Chad Lewis talked to us and he gave a very good talk about missionary work and he told us a lot about his experience in the NFL and being a Member of the church. he talked about letting our light shine. Like i said before elder newell is my companion and he is from Olympia Washington. he likes scuba diving i found out. he is a really funny guy and loves the gospel so we get along pretty well. the reason we are a 'celestial' district is because the Korean Branch has a reputation for being exactly obedient and part of that is always wearing a suit so you always look your best. thats why i asked if you could send my suit because i wear the same one every day. so thanks for doing that. i don't mind it though we just sit in our class all day so its all good. i'm feeling pretty good. i love it here at the MTC and all is going well. i can definitely feel the Lord helping me with this language because i've learned more in the last week than i have for any other language. love you guys.
