Hello everyone! Im doing great as usual, why else would i be im serving a mission! its so awesome i love it so much. This week has been pretty interestng. To sum it up, when the Lord says its time to learn, you know it for sure. if you want to learn faith, you get trials and miracles, if you want to learn humility, you get weaknesses that slowly turn into strengths. but amid all of those things you learn grow, and come out better than you were. If there is one thing i know it is that the lord is in charge and will always come through.
this branch is very small, and has about 15 people in it. and on of the members is Brother Juan, Brother Juan is a wonderful guy, and is from the philipines, and does not speak korean (neither do i) and on sunday i was wondering how he understands what is going on in church, 'he probably has one of the members translate for him" i thought. SO we go and get the translator stuff for him, he grabs his earpiece, and my companion, Elder No hands me the mic. it took me a second to put 1 and 2 together and it tuned out that i would be doing the translating. so after a prayer in my heart, and another on the stand before the meeting started, i did what i could, my companion helped me a little, and the Lord did most of it. might i say that that was a very humbling experience. it went better than it should have, but i have a long way to go.
we also were given another miracle yesterday, we were on our way home and my companion talked to this guy, and it turns out that he is super interested in religion, and wants to learn about our church. so i guess that those are two of the many miracles that happened this week. it was awesome. i know that the lord lives, he will always help us and the power of prayer is more real than we realize sometimes.
love,
Elder Dobbins
