This las weekend has been the korean thanksgiving. its called chuseok. it is one of the two biggest holidays in korea, and pretty much everything closed for the weekend, or at least that is what it feels like, if it isnt a huge company like the train station or mcdonalds its closed. pretty interesting, we have gone to members housed to eat alot too. yesterday we had a lunch and a dinner appointment, and when we went to the first one we ate ALOT. and by the time we had to eat dinner there wasnt really all that much room for more, but they prepared SO much food. and we did our best.
this next transfer is comeing to an end. i can hardly believe that it has been 5 weeks since elder Koo came to geyongju. it feels like he just got here yesterday. but over this last transfer we have done alot, and it has been an amazing experience. I have learned so much, and I know that the lord is watching over us. Tomorrow we are going to busan for a mission 'fitness day' and we have to run either a 5k or a 10k........
it will be fun, but the last time i ran over a mile was with elder powelll LAST TRANSFER, and the last time i ran over 2 was probably the last time i ran/walked/ probably slowly walked the spartan race in utah a few years ago.
i love you all and hope you are doing well. I know that the church is true, and as we trust the lord and not in our won strength he will bless us more than we ever thought he would, it can be hard to reckognize, but he does. I know he loves us and will always stand by us.
Love,
