Hello everyone! it is so good to hear from you all!!! so i think to start off this week ill just say that in Jeju, when it rains, its like a waterfall. we were probably about two miles from home doing street contacting, and all of the sudden it trickled. we walked tem feet and it started raining. ten more feet; the thunder clapped and we were wetter than a little kid in the wave pool at a water park. thats just the first of many, but it was Elder wienkes first big rainstorm in korea.
this last week we spent alot of time street contacting, and trying to do all we can to find some new investigators. we dont have any right now, but we are looking for them. they are out there somewhere and we will find them. or grow spiritually trying.
the weather in jeju is improving and the days are getting longer. when i was in the city of busan and would go running the mornings were pitch dark, but now when we run, it is pretty light outside.
a lady who attends our english class has started to come to church. the sister missionaries have started to meet with her. she participated vary openly in sunday school and seemed to really enjoy the experience.
I dont remember if i have told you all this before, but there is a man named 'james bond' in jeju who is a vary nice man who has a mental disablilty. and he really really likes the missionaries. especially us. so much so that he tries to follow us around allday long unless we ask him to go away or run away from him into the market. he wont go intot he market for some reason.
he makes street contacting interesting. he is harmless though. the best is when we are studying in the morning and right outside the winday we here "james bond! how are you?" followed by "James bond! meow..." its the best.
i hope you all have a great week and do something astonishing!
Love,
Elder Dobbins
