This week. Was a good week. I am sure of it. It has been raining off and on the past two or three days, and cloudy, but nonetheless it has been a good week. Last Pday we just took it easy and stayed home. it was nice to just relax for a day. and from what it is looking like we will be doing the same thing today. for now we have made some sort of a resolution to do more interesting activities on pday next transfer, we will see how that turns out.
as all of you might have heard, ive started exercising again... and you know i almost like it. it is worth it . someone had the idea to 'go hiking' for our morning exercise up the mountain behind our house one morning this week. and i thought to myself, "i like hiking, its relaxing' what i wish i would have known is that 'hiking' translated into running up a huge mountain. i hate to admit it, but me and my companion didn't go all the way to the top, but we went a good way up. it was really beautiful. we were planning to wake up early and try it again this morning, but as soon as the alarm went off this morning, literally half a ring in, before it could wake everyone up, someone(i think it was elder Kim) turned it off, so we didn't go running up the mountain today.
also, if you remember my MTC companion Elder Newell, this transfer he started training a new missionary named elder Fronberg, and he is doing great, and there is also a new missionary who just arrived this week, and elder newell is training him too! so Elder Newell, my MTC companion is double training right now! he is awesome.
WE went to Costco the other day to buy some canned corn that we needed for the MLCM meeting lunch, and while i was there i saw a Christmas tree!!! CHRISTMAS IS COMING!!!
Im excited for Christmas! mostly because i will actually get to take it all in this time and really try to focus on the real meaning of Christmas(and i get to skype my family too, that will be awesome). but last time i had been in the country for 10 days, and i still had no clue what was going on. so this time, i cant wait to really enjoy it.
We also got this month instead of the shipment of conference addition liahonas, we got the December ones, that was pretty weird, but they were really good, and i learned alot of things that i think were meant for me so im greatful for the mishap.
We are going to meed two new investigators this week, one is Kim sung joon, and the other is suh min soo. tonight we will meet Brother Kim. he it an interesting character. right now he works at the local grocery store, but his dream is to become a world famous rapper. all the music he listens to is eminem and Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg. But he is a really really nce guy, and he wants to learn about our message so we will teach him. I just hope he will listen to what we have to say with real intent, it will help him if he lets it.
That being said, as ive been in the office, i have been learning SO much. and ive been able to see alot more clearly than i ever have, and i have come to understand President Barrows vision better than i have my entire mission. Hs vision is this "have every companionship baptizing every week" that's it. and there is alot of people who say that 'because its korea' it cant happen, and a whole slew of excuses, but the reality of the situation is that with God all things are possible, he is hastening his work, and we have been promised that 'The field is white already to harvest' we must be bold, and we must work work and work some more until the very end. ive come to understand this point more that i ever have before, and now i can feel the gravity of the situation. Truly President Gordon B. Hinckley's Father was right when he said "Forget yourself and go to WORK". there is no other alternative, we must testify by the spirit, and invite people to come unto Christ. we shouldn't worry orr be fearful, we should just go up to the plate and swing for the fence, open our mouths, and watch the Lord work through us. I love the Lord, and i know he is mindful of every single one of us. thats why he sends us out to all these countries and diverse places, so the whole world can know that he loves them.
Love,
