elder wienken is from Porter, Texas. he is a great elder i love serving with him. Tutu's package arrived, i now have mango chapstick and oreos, my life is set and ready to go. SEA SALT!?!?! ill give it a try... (does it matter if the sea salt is 'roasted' or not, we have 'roasted sea salt' right now) just watch soon you will have to start calling me the energizer bunny because ill be so alkaline! like a battery you know... it is supposed ot be a joke, the funny kind.. wow where has my sense of humor gone it is almost like it has ran out of juice or something. maybe i should take a break and recharge my jokes for a while. that is bound to have some shocking results. ok, i can see that my efforts to positively influence this email have produced negative results. ill keep a better ion my puns next time. we wouldnt want lightning to strike the same place twice or anything, that would be a very high-energy event.
wow, that was electrifying.
this last week went really well. we had zone conferences and we also had a ward activity that President barrow and his family attended. we talked about usunt time wisely and them played some 'minute-to-win-it' style games. the members loved it and it was a great event. zone conference was all about teaching repentance. i learned alor of things during that time and probaby the biggest thing i learned was that the lord really has provided a way for us do do EVERYTHING. i can see it in misionary work. and i also know now more than ever that his hand is in everything. everyday we live is a chance to learn and improve. i love it
also this week we met a potential investigator, but it was a little different that first meeting usually go. we shoed up he asked us to sign the book of mormon that we had given him on the street, he took a picture with us, and then left faster that we could ask him why he wanted to meet with us. elder wienken and i just looked at each other in disbelief. and then ate luch and hit the streets again.
i also ate mudfish soup for the first time yestersday. imagine a liquified fish. that is exactly what it is. i liked it. apparently it gets better as you eat it. but it wasnt bad, the members say that it is one of the things you have to eat when you are in korea, if you doint you cant say that you served in korea. so i guess im official now.
it is snowing again today.... the snow is not sticking though.
have a great week everyone!!!
Love,
Elder Dobbins
